Description:
The Applications Engineer will primarily provide technical support to our Sales Staff during pre- and post-sales activities. The successful candidate will assist the sales process by providing software demonstration and technical support to customers through trial periods. This candidate will also increase the effectiveness of our current customers by conducting training courses, providing telephone support and visiting customers on-site. This position requires frequent travel for sales, support and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess: a MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field with specialization in the fields of fluid dynamics and heat. S/he will have knowledge of:
The position calls for the following:
- Knowledge of CFD techniques (preferably including experience with FLoTHERM)
- Knowledge of compact modeling of electronics equipment including components packages and cooling devices
- Experience with Windows-NT and UNIX systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
This position will be based Santa Clara, CA.
