Flomerics is a member of the Cadence Connections program. Components and boards designed in the Cadence software environment can already be imported into FLO/PCB and FLOTHERM via the IDF neutral file format. Flomerics and Cadence are now working on a new interface called “FLO/Allegro”, which provides bi-directional model exchange between FLO/PCB and the Allegro PCB Design Series. This tightly integrates thermal analysis with all stages of design from concept development to placement and routing.
The Centre for Numerical Modelling and Process Analysis, at the University of Greenwich has a worldwide reputation in the development of computational modelling technologies. Through both research and teaching it provides expertise in state-of-the-art numerical methods and software technologies that enable the prediction of physical phenomena related to engineering processes. The centre has been very active in applying such techniques in the Electronics and Microsystems sectors and runs an MSc training programme in Computational Science and Engineering. Flomerics is collaborating closely with the university on a number of research projects and is a co-sponsor of its MSc programme.
Centre for Quantitative Methods (CQM) is an independent consultancy firm in the Netherlands specializing in quantitative modeling and providing consultancy, software, and training to industry and government. In the field of virtual prototyping for engineering design, CQM develops optimization methodologies and tools that allow engineers to quickly optimize a design in a systematic and integrated manner. Flomerics and CQM work together on incorporating CQMs state-of-the-art design optimization technology into Flomerics' entire range of analysis software.
CST develops and markets high performance software for the simulation of electromagnetic (EM) fields in all frequency bands. Its success is based on the implementation of unique, leading edge technology in a user-friendly interface. CST purchased Flomerics' EM simulation software business in January 2008 and the two companies continue to work closely together. For more information about CST please visit www.cst.com.
