Since 1988, Mentor Graphics has played a pioneering role in the simulation of 3D airflow, temperature distribution and contamination control in internal and external environments in buildings of all types and sizes. Our FloVENT software is designed specifically for optimizing heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in the built environment. Typical application areas for FloVENT are: data centers; computer rooms; telephone exchanges; atriums; shopping malls; office buildings; theatres; airport terminals; storage facilities and warehouses; passenger comfort in vehicles; air quality and contaminant control in laboratories, research facilities, hospitals and underground car parks. Our EFD software is perfectly suited for analysis and optimization of HVAC equipment, including: air conditioning/air handling units; chilled rooms and chilled water systems; compressors; condensing units; controls equipment; dampers and louvers; dehumidifiers; dryers; diffusers ; ductwork & pipe junctions; evaporators; fans & motors; filters and filtration equipment; fire & smoke control equipment; flow meters; freezers and freezer rooms; fume cupboards; gas detection equipment; grilles; heaters; humidifiers; refrigeration equipment; separators; and valves.
