Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

The board of Flomerics Group PLC, supplier of analysis software to the electronics industries, is delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Christopher Carter , aged 45, as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 10 January 2005 . It is expected that Gary will be appointed to the board of Flomerics Group PLC soon after.

As announced in our interim results in July this year, David Tatchell, the current CEO, intends to relinquish the position before he reaches the age of 60 in 2006. It is intended that Gary will take over as CEO within this time scale.

Gary joins the Company from ANSYS, Inc, a major US-based Computer Aided Engineering (“CAE”) company, where he was Managing Director and Vice President of European Sales.

David Tatchell, Chief Executive, commented:

“ Gary has an outstanding 10 year track record in sales leadership and senior management in the CAE industry, and, added to this, brings an in-depth appreciation of the engineering and technical aspects of Flomerics’ business. Most importantly, Gary ’s experience in growing a significantly larger software analysis business will be invaluable to Flomerics in achieving its growth strategy.”

Gary Carter commented:

“ Ever since I first started out in the CAE business, Flomerics has stood out as being synonymous with simulation software in the electronics industries. I am therefore very excited by this opportunity and I am looking forward to working with the team that has been behind this success as we address the challenges of the future."
