Requirements

FLOTHERM Version 6.1 System Requirements

This version of FLOTHERM is available on Microsoft Windows and Sun Solaris operating systems.

FLOTHERM is partially available on HP-UX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Support on these platforms is limited to following components: Thermal Solver, Exchange Factor Generator (EFG), Volunteer GUI and Volunteer daemon. FlexNET license server is also available on HP-UX.

Platform Specific Requirements

Microsoft Windows, 32-bit editions

Supported operating systems:

• Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 3 or Service Pack 4
• Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2003, Standard and Enterprise editions

Hardware requirements:

• x86-compatible Intel or AMD processor, minimum 1GHz Pentium III
• 512 MB system memory (RAM), 1 GB recommended
• graphics card with OpenGL support and minimum 64 MB memory

Microsoft Windows, 64-bit editions

Supported operating systems:

• Windows XP Professional x64 edition
• Windows Server 2003 x64 editions (Standard and Enterprise)

Hardware requirements:

• 64-bit capable AMD processor or an Intel processor with EM64T
• 512 MB system memory (RAM), 1 GB recommended
• graphics card with OpenGL support and minimum 64 MB memory

Sun Solaris

Supported operating systems:

• Sun Solaris 8 (SPARC) with Release 5/03
• Sun Solaris 9 (SPARC) with Release 9/04
• Sun Solaris 10 (SPARC) with Release 3/05

Hardware requirements:

• 400 MHz UltraSPARC-II processor or higher
• 512 MB system memory (RAM), 1 GB recommended
• graphics card with OpenGL support and minimum 64 MB memory

HP-UX

Supported operating systems:

• HP-UX 11i

Hardware requirements:

• PA2-compatible processor (minimum PA-8000)
• 512 MB system memory (RAM), 1 GB recommended

Linux

Supported operating systems:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3

Advance Solver Support

• Parallel thermal solver is supported on Windows and Solaris
• 64-bit thermal solver is supported on Windows and Solaris
